Growing up in Morocco, natural beauty practices were an everyday ritual, lovingly passed down through generations. Every Sunday, my mother would prepare natural masks for me before my bath — small moments that carried the essence of care, nourishment, and connection. These traditions are deeply woven into Moroccan culture, where ingredients like argan, ghassoul, and rose are treasured for their remarkable benefits for skin and hair.
For me, these rituals always felt normal, ordinary — just a way of life. It wasn’t until I moved to Europe that I realized how much I missed them. The absence of these routines sparked a desire not only to bring them back into my own life, but also to share them more widely. With Essil, I want to create products that honor their origins, give credit to the women who preserve them, and help ensure these ancestral traditions are passed on and appreciated for generations to come.

The cooperative we work with is proudly CCPB certified organic, ensuring the oil is produced without synthetic chemicals, and IGP certified, guaranteeing it comes from the protected region of Morocco known for its authentic, high-quality argan oil.
